Kids Corner Consignment Sales
What should I price my items? Got any good advice
about what sells?
You are the consignor. One of the benefits of this sale is you get to set
your own prices. But please remember this is a resale sale. People who are
shopping are looking for some great deals. Most of them will only buy if
the items are 65%-70% off the retail value. One advice it to make sure you
mark your items half-price on Saturday. The people who are shopping then
are really looking for a great bargain!
How and when will I get paid?
You can expect to receive a check in the mail in as little as one week!
When you come to sign in please make sure you bring a self addressed stamp
envelope with your signed paperwork.

What about the new law banning recalled items or
lead items?
I have done a lot of searching to get to the bottom of this new law.
As with any law they are up to interpretation.
Here is what I have gathered:
The new safety law does not require resellers to test children’s
products in inventory for compliance with the lead limit before they
are sold. However, resellers cannot sell children’s products that exceed
the lead limit and therefore should avoid products that are likely to
have lead content. These products include but are not limited to:
children’s jewelry and painted wooden or metal toys; flimsily made toys
that are easily breakable into small parts; toys that lack the required
age warnings; and dolls and stuffed toys that have buttons, eyes, noses
or other small parts that are not securely fastened and could present a
choking hazard for young children. If the paint is chipping from a toy
or is wearing off it is not allowed to be sold. All items will be
inspected prior to the sale and will be removed from the floor.
When the CPSIA was signed into law on August 14, 2008, it became
unlawful to sell recalled products. Among these recalls are children's
products particularly cribs and play yards so please pay close
attention if you choose to bring these items to consign.
All consignors please check the CPSC Web site (www.cpsc.gov) for
information on recalled products before bringing them to the sale. If
you need help please email me and I will be glad to help you figure out
if your item is recalled.
What do you do with the items that don't sell?
Your items that do not sell will be able to be picked up on Sunday
4/26 between the hours of 12pm-1pm. ALL ITEMS NOT PICKED UP
AT THIS TIME WILL BE DONATED. Please see the following link
about where I will be taking unclaimed items from the sale.

Please make sure you bring a large storage tub or two for your items
to be placed in once the sale is over. We will have your items sorted
and placed in these tubs. Please mark your consignor number on the
tub or attach a large piece of paper with the number on the side of
the tub.
